System Administrator

This is an opportunity to increase and enhance systems used at MMT by collaborating with others and finding new ways to continue improvement.  Experience in Emergency Medical Services is a plus but is not required. This position is open to remote work anywhere within the U.S. And some travel may be required.

Qualifications

System Administrator position Duties and responsibilities:

Technical Skills

  • Network Management: Ensuring reliable and secure network connectivity for communication systems. Fortinet experience is a plus.
  • Database Management: Basic SQL scripting and knowledge.
  • Basic Programming: Sometimes using things like PowerShell or similar languages if needed to script tasks.
  • Cybersecurity: Utilizing software and services to protect sensitive patient and operational data from cyber threats.
  • System Integration: Integrating various software and hardware systems used in ambulance services.
  • Disaster Recovery: Implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity.

Soft Skills

  • Problem-Solving: Quickly diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Logical Thinking: Finding ways to allow multiple different systems to communicate with each other.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating with medical staff, dispatchers, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in system configurations and data management.
  • Project Management: Overseeing IT projects, such as system upgrades or new software implementations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of Medical Software: Familiarity with Electronic Patient Care Records (EPCR) and other medical software.
  • Compliance: Understanding and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
  • Computer Aided Dispatch Systems: Managing systems that support response and dispatch operations.
  • Vehicle Telemetry: Monitoring and maintaining systems that track ambulance locations and statuses.

Competencies 

  • Self-confidence, emotional stability, and good judgment
  • Possess good verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to handle adverse situations effectively
