Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center Networking Architect to join our team to design and implement data center networking architectures in the government sector primarily using Cisco ACI products. As a Data Center Networking Architect, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand their networking requirements and design scalable and secure network solutions. This position includes up to 25% travel in and around the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area. 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or applicable work experience.

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

- Seven years of experience in data center networking architecture and engineering, preferably in the government sector.

- Secret security clearance.

- Expertise in Cisco ACI products and technologies.

- Superior understanding of network protocols and technologies, including routing, switching, and load balancing.

- Proficiency with network security technologies, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

- Ability to design and implement complex network architectures.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze networking requirements for government data center environments.

- Design and implement data center networking architectures using Cisco ACI products.

- Configure and optimize network protocols, such as routing, switching, and load balancing.

- Integrate network security technologies, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems, into the network architecture.

- Ensure the security and availability of data center networks.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data center networking.

- Monitor and optimize network performance and capacity.

- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

- Maintain currency in the latest networking technologies and trends.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of networking solutions.

- Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures related to data center networking.

As a Data Center Networking Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust and scalable data center networking architectures supporting large-scale government programs. Your expertise in Cisco ACI products and your ability to design and troubleshoot complex network environments will contribute to the success of our programs. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, interacting with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality networking solutions.
