Script Writer

Responsibilities:

• Script Development: Research and craft compelling scripts tailored to our target audience, ensuring each piece tells a story that captivates and drives engagement.
  
• Story Selection: Identify trending topics and evergreen stories that resonate with our demographic, displaying a keen eye for what works in the social media landscape.
  
• Video Vision: Collaborate with video creators to ensure scripts seamlessly translate into visually compelling content.
  
• Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze audience engagement and performance metrics to refine storytelling approaches and maximize impact.
  
• Creative Problem-Solving: Take initiative in brainstorming and proposing fresh, innovative ideas that align with our brand’s voice and values.
  
• Editorial Excellence: Maintain impeccable grammar and attention to detail, ensuring every script is polished and professional.
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a scriptwriter for social media or video content, preferably with a focus on storytelling for lifestyle or family-centric audiences.
  
• Exceptional storytelling abilities with a flair for emotional, humorous, and relatable narratives.
  
• Strong understanding of how scripts transition to video, including pacing, tone, and visual elements.
  
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.
  
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a growth-oriented mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
  
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  

Preferred:

• Familiarity with social media platforms and their unique content requirements (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).
  
• Basic knowledge of SEO and how it applies to video content.
  

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Script Writer.
  
• Understands how video editing works.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively and take direction.
  
• A professional with 2-3 years experience in writing scripts/copy.
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas clearly.
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or Digital Marketing
  
• A Graduate/ Post Graduate in Communications and Journalism or Film Studies.
  
• From a digital news/ content media organization.
  
• Good research skills and the ability to write scripts are desirable.
  
• Own a laptop with the required tools and software.

Where is this role located?

Remote: (India) This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable.

Shift Timings:

Morning shift (10 am - 6 pm), six days a week.

Please Note: You will be required to work on the weekends. You will have a mid-week off.

CTC: 2.4 - 5 LPA, depending on experience.
