Job description

As a cornerstone of SNAP14’s media production process, the Production Manager is responsible for leading our production department, ensuring all projects are executed to the highest standards while meeting ambitious company goals. This position combines creative vision with strategic execution, overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of production teams, resources, and budgets. The Production Manager will foster a solution-oriented environment that balances efficiency with creativity, guiding projects from initial concept to final delivery.

In addition to managing the production department and developing team members, this role will also oversee the execution of special internal projects, ensuring they align with SNAP14’s standards of quality, efficiency, and elegance.



Key Responsibilities:

Production and Project Management:
Oversee all stages of production from inception to completion, maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Manage the production team and ensure collaboration across departments, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Serve as the main liaison between clients, vendors, and team members, providing clear directives and updates.
Coordinate logistics, including equipment, contracts, facilities, and resource allocation.

Team Leadership and Development:
Mentor, manage, and develop production assistants and other team members, guiding them toward growth within the department.
Assign and manage department KPIs, track progress, and implement training aligned with individual and departmental goals.
Conduct interviews for new hires, prepare job descriptions, and onboard new team members.
Develop SOPs for the production department, training staff on best practices and ensuring adherence.

Internal Project Management:
Oversee special internal projects when they arise, coordinating resources and ensuring successful execution aligned with company objectives.
Track and follow up on outstanding internal projects, resolving issues, and ensuring completion within established timelines.

Operations and Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage budgets for each project, tracking expenses, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring financial efficiency.
Ensure all production paperwork is completed, organized, and distributed.
Oversee warehouse and production inventory, maintaining equipment and supplies.

Logistical Coordination and On-Set Management:
Organize and set up shoot locations, managing logistics, and providing hands-on support for all departments on set.
Manage crowd control, set cleanliness, and ensure all necessary arrangements for successful shoot execution.
Coordinate transportation, packaging, and handling of production items.

Supplier and Client Relations:
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers and clients, negotiating terms and ensuring service quality.
Act as a point of contact for clients during production, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement and Issue Resolution:
Identify and address any issues within the production process, implementing solutions to maintain project integrity and momentum.
Represent SNAP14 at community events, workshops, and educational institutions, and provide training where applicable.

  • Serve as the a liaison among project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels. Responsible for the clarity of directives and updates as critical to project success.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of production, including contracts, equipment, and facilities management, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and swiftly implement solutions, maintaining project integrity and momentum.
  • Negotiate with and manage suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and maintaining strong professional relationships essential for project success.
  • Manage the set preparations with lights, props, equipment etc.
  • Setting up the shoot location in a strategic way
  • Overseeing and assisting all project departments such as wardrobe, directors, camera people and other crew members
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed, printed and distributed
  • Escort actors, talent, models around the area
  • Manage crowd control by organizing signs, directing pedestrians away from set, lock down sets etc.
  • Ensure all the team is updated and proper is communication is happening within crew and cast
  • Assign and perform administrative work

  • Planning, managing and handling transport for equipment, talent and crew

  • Speaking with or training students at workshops, schools or any educational institution
  • Identifying issues that need fixing within the department
  • Recommending initiatives and goals
  • Monitoring performance of department
  • Oversee budgets for each project, carefully tracking expenses and managing resources to maintain financial efficiency.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients during the production phase, providing updates and managing expectations while maintaining SNAP14’s brand image.
  • Anticipate and address potential challenges in the production process, providing solutions that uphold SNAP14’s standards for precision and sophistication.
  • Identify business processes and document them.

Requirements

  • Preferably with previous experience with Zoho apps and/or other software tools i.e. Zoho, Google.
  • Preferably  with previous experience with project management tools and production software.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
  • Previous experience with budget management and financial tracking.
  • Flexibility with working hours and willingness to adapt to project demands.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies.
