Ability to work remotely: Must have reliable Internet and phone (land line or cellular) for on-call and scheduled access weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Must be willing to deploy within 36-hours of assignment to locations across the state of Florida.


Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Data Analyst (Supervisor) to join the Team! As a member of OSG’s project team, the Data Analyst (Supervisor) reports to OSG’s Senior Data Analyst within the project leadership team.


The Data Analyst (Supervisor) will supervise data analysis activities, ensuring the accuracy and quality of data insights and reports. This role involves validating the work of other analysts, performing quality checks, and supporting the annual reporting cycle. The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical skills, a strong background in data science, experience in using and teaching analytical tools, and have a familiarity with law enforcement protocols and Title III regulations governing intercepted and collected information. 


In support of Obsidian’s Title III services contract, the Data Analyst (Supervisor) will perform the following activities and possess the relevant qualifications, skills, and competencies listed herein.



Specific Responsibilities 

  • Supervise Data Analysis Activities: Lead a team of data analysts, providing guidance and oversight to ensure the accuracy and relevance of data analysis.
  • Validate Analysis and Results: Review and validate the work of other analysts to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data insights.
  • Perform Quality Checks: Conduct thorough quality checks of reports and insights prior to submission to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Support Annual Reporting Cycle: Assist in the preparation and completion of annual reports, ensuring all data and insights are accurate and comprehensive.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in data science, analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics, and reporting.
  • Credentials: Familiarity with analytical tools, demonstrating the ability to use and guide others in the use of these tools.


Skills and Competencies

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of data and reports.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills to supervise and guide a team of analysts.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present data insights and reports.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using analytical tools and software, with the ability to instruct others in their use.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Home office and traditional office settings 


Travel

  • Occasional requirement to travel within 48-hours’ notice of project assignment.
  • Travel within Florida by air or car as required by the contract.
