Position Summary
For larger-scale and higher complexity work, and in close collaboration with division peers, the Senior Assessment Technology Specialist will be expected to independently define and implement configurable system capabilities, define and elaborate the requirements for new and updated system functions, and directly write and maintain support documentation in addition to performing end-user support and training activities. This role may require interactions with external clients and stakeholders and some executive-level audiences.
The position is distinctive in that it requires operational familiarity sufficient to independently execute activities regarding assessment design, assessment technology capabilities, and agile system development principles. Staff in this role may be asked to lead agile sprint teams under the guidance of more senior staff.
Strategic awareness is required, typically in the context of multiple simultaneous projects. Facility in details contextualized in a larger framework is required.
Responsibilities
Independently contribute to improvements to processes for assessment design, development, administration, scoring, and reporting that lead to better utilization of and enhancements to existing systems.
Independently contribute to implementation of enterprise-wide standardization by constraining variation in systems use across testing programs.
Coordinate cost estimates within the division for ETS initiatives and RFP responses, including documenting program design features that drive systems costs.
Team lead for technology development team as feature lead for high complexity features.
Lead teams building and implementing process automation and optimization and support the definition of compelling, data driven cases for the pursuit of build and/or adoption activities, including supporting the definition of validating metrics.
Contribute to financial planning and reporting, including developing estimates and monitoring actuals.
Contribute to preparation of executive-level presentations and attend or present to executive-level audiences for medium to high complexity projects.
Contribute to definition of strategic priorities for technology roadmaps.
Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function.

Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Zephyr, ServiceNow
Microsoft tools including PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Teams, SharePoint
Cloud infrastructure services such as Amazon Web Services or MS Azure
Artificial Intelligence services and integration opportunities
UI/UX design standards and supporting tools such as Axshare, Adobe XD, Figma
SQL

Education And Experience
Bachelors degree in relevant field of study or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and experience can be acquired is required.
Masters degree in Education, Measurement or content field of specialty is preferred.
A minimum of 4+ years experience is required.
Other Requirements
Working knowledge of testing, measurement, and processes for designing, building, and delivering assessments preferred.
Excellent planning, organization, and problem identification skills.
Excellent information and data analysis skills.
Demonstrated problem solving ability.
Excellent technical and business terminology to consult with clients, vendors, and other internal staff preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate decision-making in groups, and communicate and ensure implementation of agreed-upon decisions.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and proactively suggest and manage to solutions.
Clear, effective interpersonal and presentational communication skills--both oral and written.
