Job description

The Senior Total Rewards Analyst is responsible for strategic analysis and assisting with the design, implementation, and administration of total rewards (compensation, benefits, systems) programs for all new hires and internal employees. In this role, you will report to our Director of Total Rewards, and work with an incredible team who are building and defining the roadmap for Total Rewards at CONMED.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform complex analysis and data modeling relating to compensation programs (salary planning, merit increases, variable pay programs, etc.) to evaluate concepts and address business needs
  • Serve as an SME on broad-based compensation related matters by staying informed on industry trends, best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Serve as main point of contact for the administration and management of the company’s long-term incentive program and other compensation programs, as required
  • Work closely with benefit carriers and vendors in their ongoing service delivery to employees, identifying and resolving both participant and plan level issues, and identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, cost modeling and the presentation of data to help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure our Total Rewards programs are competitive within the industry.
  • Partner on the drafting and development of the compensation-related sections of the annual proxy statement, partnering with other members of the Total Rewards team and the legal department.
  • Assist in preparing analyses and recommendations related to executive pay offers (both internal and external) and executive job leveling.
  • Recommend potential improvements to executive programs.
  • Owns the relationship with vendors on all equity programs, primarily 401(k) and pension administration.
  • Lead Retirement committee, including committee meeting preparation, facilitation, and communication with committee members.
  • Deep knowledge of salary structures and ability to conduct job evaluations, including benchmarking roles against market.
  • Support the annual salary review process, including data preparation, analysis, and communication.
  • Support audit processes and legal reporting to make certain compensation programs are administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies related to compensation.
  • Evaluate existing plans, practices, and policies. Make recommendations which keep the company competitive.
  • Collaborate with HR Technology team on technology strategy, improvements, and enhancements to data integrity and Total Reward systems and tools.
  • Assist in the creation of presentations, guides, and other resources to enhance understanding and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices in Total Rewards.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR or related fields
  • 3 years of direct experience in executive compensation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role-related experience preferred
  • Experience in multiple HR disciplines or client groups preferred
  • Experience managing Long-Term Incentive bonus plans and 401(k) plans preferred.
  • Experience with executive pay benchmarking and job leveling, incentive plan design, Compensation Committee and Board of Directors support, and proxy disclosure preferred

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $97,910 to $144,430. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
