We are seeking an experienced IT Subject Matter Specialist to provide comprehensive support for IBM Rational and DevSecOps GitLab development tools across the IRS enterprise. The role involves hands-on expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of IBM Rational tools, including IBM Rational ClearCase, Engineering Workflow Management, Application Developer, and Software Architect, alongside GitLab DevSecOps platforms. You will be responsible for defining procedures, managing tool installations, and offering technical assistance to IRS personnel. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to IRS-defined projects and initiatives, including COVID-19 projects, by ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of key development tools.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for IT Subject Matter Specialist: $140k - $175k
Pay commensurate with experience.

IT Subject Matter Specialist Responsibilities Include:
Provide expert support for IBM Rational and DevSecOps GitLab development tools, excluding IBM Rational System Architect.
Define, prototype, and implement templates, processes, and procedures for IBM Rational and DevSecOps GitLab tools.
Coordinate and facilitate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM Rational and GitLab tools across the IRS enterprise.
Develop and execute product upgrade plans, provide desktop-level support, and manage server repositories.
Collaborate with IRS teams for network, security, and patch management to validate and test development tools.
Identify, analyze, and resolve tool-related issues, including software deficiencies and security impacts.
Provide knowledge transfer and training to IRS personnel on tool usage, processes, and procedures.
Support Help Desk operations by addressing user requests, troubleshooting issues, and implementing system enhancements.
Participate in meetings, working sessions, and provide documentation and weekly status reports as directed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
IT Subject Matter Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Proven experience with IBM Rational development tools and DevSecOps GitLab platforms.
Strong background in software development tool management, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Ability to provide knowledge transfer and training to technical and non-technical users.
Familiarity with IRS OneSDLC processes is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
