Mobile Build and Release Engineer

Our client, a dynamic start-up, is seeking a dedicated Mobile Build and Release Engineer. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our client's web and mobile applications, which serve as vital resources for these organizations.

As a Mobile Build and Release Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up our client's mobile applications with best-in-class software development practices. You will create and maintain infrastructure to support rapid development on this fast-changing product and contribute to key architectural decisions to ensure a consistent look and feel across all digital products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing standards for mobile app development, build, testing, and deployment
• Delivering quality features on the mobile app
• Leading by example in self-documenting code and implementing standards to create an accessible mobile SDLC environment
• Participating in feature development discussions and assisting with work prioritization
• Proposing innovative ideas for small software shop development practices
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with React Native development
• Experience with cross-platform build and release using Expo
• Experience with initial setup of React Native CI/CD process and maintaining consistent build environments for Android and iOS
  
  
  

Desired Skills:

• Experience with setting up AWS infrastructure underlying mobile CI/CD, especially for iOS
• Experience developing and sharing common React components between mobile and web applications
• Experience benchmarking mobile app performance metrics on different devices, such as power consumption and storage
