Job Description

The Project Cost Engineer will be responsible for analyzing quotes, SOWs, and submitted data to identify cost opportunities for “Electronic / Electrical” components and systems using activity-based costing methodologies, while supporting and optimizing North American processes, systems, and operations. The selected candidate provides subject matter expertise to support engineering and purchasing at working levels and to executive leadership through all development phases. The Engineer must be curious, persistent, and thorough. The Cost Engineer must have the ability to analyze supplier ED&D quotes, SOWs, and develop an appropriate ED&D Negotiation Guidance based on the required SOW. The selected candidate must have an understanding of the elements of ED&D quote development including employees, hours required, and testing required for various manufacturing processes typical for the production of assigned “Electronic / Electrical” commodities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Manufacturing from ABET accredited university and experience in design, release, or processing role or other credentials in combination with relevant experience in developing ED&D.
Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple programs, responsibilities, and cost details simultaneously.
Solid leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Intermediate Proficiency in MS365 Suite
High level of proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Advanced Degree in Business
Activity based costing experience or experience in manufacturing cost model development.
Experience developing or analyzing ED&D quotes, SOW (Statement of Work) or process methodology
