  • Database Development Executive Escalation Team Customer Escalation Manager (North America)
    • Proven Management/Leadership experience, as role is the Lead for Team members working as the primary contact within the US Timezone,
    • Excellent hands on Oracle RDBMS Technical troubleshooting and technical investigation skills across entire RDBMS stack.
    • Technical skills to include DB Admin hangs and crashes, DB/SQL Performance, Recovery, RDBMS internal trace analysis, RAC and experience of Exadata Server and Cell Software.
    • Strong analytical technical problem solving experience in a pressurized situation.
    • Must be a clear, calm and articulate communicator to lead as an Incident Commander technical discussions at DBA and Executive level
  • Role Details
    • Primary lead for a number of existing Senior Technical Escalation managers in the US, reporting to global the DBDev Exec Esc Team Senior Director.
    • Technical lead through US timezone interfacing with leads in India, UK and Australia as primary management contact in the US timezone.
    • Initial problem review and investigation, providing mitigation options whilst clarification of problem underway, through to the engagement and coordination of Development technical resources to further review the issue.
    • This requires strong technical leadership and coordination skills to drive the investigation, as well as strong communication and management experience to provide Executive level investigation status update to Oracle Development Senior Executives.
    • The successful candidate will also help to develop better situation handling and engagement processes to streamline future issue handling, whilst also providing Product improvement suggestions across the Product Stacks.
  • Candidate Profile
    • Technical Leadership/Management experience, leading Team of highly technical staff as both lead and individual contributor.
    • Excellent Oracle RDBMS technical hands on investigative experience across entire Database stack, including DB Admin hangs and crashes, DB/SQL Performance, Recovery and RDBMS internal trace analysis.
    • Excellent Technical problem solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of issue identification and clarification of issues, and the ability to apply basic Problem-Solving techniques to question, triage diagnostics and understand Database and Exadata technical issues.
    • Strong independent and self-reliant leadership, with proven track record of being able to coordinate and communicate with all interested Stakeholders across multiple Technical and Product areas up to and including Senior Executive Level.
    • Strong communicator being able to lead as an Incident Commander discussions at technical internally and with Customers.
    • Be able to think on feet whilst remaining calm, level headed, and clear in communication within the scope of highly heated situations.
    • Be able to provide in-depth written status updates at both Technical and Senior Executive/CIO level.
    • Provide feedback to help Product improvements and develop future situation and engagement processes.
  • Must Have
    • Proven hands on Technical Leadership/Management experience in a technical troubleshooting role.
    • Strong independent and self reliant leadership, with proven track record of being able to coordinate and communicate with all interested Stakeholders across multiple Technical and Product areas up to and including Senior Executive Level.

    • Provide in-depth written status updates at both Technical and Senior Executive level.
    • Provide feedback to help Product improvements and develop future situation and engagement processes.
    • Work independently as lead contact for Sustaining Engineering within Product Area.

Responsibilities

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

US: Hiring Range: from $87,800 - $199,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
