ServiceNow Mapping Consultant

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Mapping Consultant for a 100% remote position. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ServiceNow Service Mapping, Configuration Management, and ITOM discovery, with a solid grasp of infrastructure, application architecture, and ITIL processes. This role involves working closely with service owners, SMEs, and the internal ServiceNow development team to ensure seamless service mapping and discovery processes. Responsibilities:

• Administer the ServiceNow Service Mapping Tool, including mapping additional business services.
• Collaborate with application SMEs to gather entry-point data for key business applications.
• Ensure service maps are correctly aligned with the appropriate services and offerings.
• Identify potential service mapping opportunities from discovered data.
• Work alongside the internal ServiceNow development team to design, test, and implement new discovery patterns.
• Monitor service mapping and discovery results, addressing any discrepancies with data owners.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of service mapping across production and non-production environments.
• Create and manage service mapping discovery schedules.
• Periodically review and update operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in configuration management and ServiceNow.
• Broad knowledge across network, infrastructure, and application architecture domains, with an understanding of ITIL processes.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB (CSDM) and ServiceNow ITOM discovery & Service Mapping.
• Strong JavaScript programming experience.
• Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and network architecture.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving credential issues with engineers.
• ServiceNow Service Mapping Implementation Certification is required.
