Job description

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the grid connection process and a strong background in renewable energy systems, solar, wind and battery energy storage technologies in the UK.

Reporting directly to the Country Manager based in corporate (Madrid), your main responsibilities will be:

Lead and manage the grid connection process for all Elawan’s projects in GB.
Assess grid connection options, considering technical, financial, and regulatory factors.
Preparation and submission of grid connection applications.
Management of several grid consultants, which will provide support during the whole grid connection process.
Permanent contact with DNOs and other stakeholders to secure grid connection agreements.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Coordination with Planning and Management Team for the successful development of the projects.
Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
Build a strong relationship with relevant DNOs

Requirements

Strong background in grid connections and technical work
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience in grid connection management for demand and generation
In-depth understanding of UK grid connection processes, regulations, and standards, including G99.
Expert knowledge of GB Distribution and Transmission networks
Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and drawings
Entrepreneurial and data-driven mindset with an ability to identify and act on opportunities.
