Our Team
As an Employee Relations Specialist (Investigations), you will work closely with the business HR and legal teams to handle employee relations cases and provide guidance and direction to leaders, managers, and employees on various employee relations matters. You will also ensure compliance with Koch policies and legal requirements, conduct investigations, analyze trends, and recommend solutions to employee relations issues.
What You Will Do
Conducting investigations regarding potential misconduct, policy violations and employee issues
Identifying, analyzing, and providing recommendations to employee relations situations
Advising and influencing all levels of management regarding employee relations decisions (performance management, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, termination, restructuring, fraud, confidential information protection, HR policies)
Preparing comprehensive investigation summaries to include findings, evaluation of any process gaps or practices that create risk (including legal risk) to mitigate the organization’s liability
Ensuring all misconducts are investigated in accordance with the Involuntary Termination Guidelines and that specific to workmen, the comprehensive domestic enquiry process is adhered to
Counseling managers and employees consistent with company policies/practices, legal considerations, etc.
Reviewing case notes/ statements in matters that are litigated based on the outcome of the investigations
Analyzing metrics to determine trends and developing proactive strategies to share with business partners
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of employee relations and/or investigations including domestic enquiry procedures in manufacturing and/or service entities
Clear, thorough and accurate drafting/writing skills to develop various letters, notices, statements, enquiry reports, etc.
Experience in a fast-paced work environment in which you had to manage multiple, often competing, priorities
Experience building collaborative relationships in a remote environment
Proficiency in English (both written and oral)
Bachelors’/Master’s Degree in Law or HR OR a professional qualification as Company Secretary/ Cost Accountant/ Chartered Accountant may be preferred
What Will Put You Ahead
Working knowledge of local, state, and central employment laws, regulations and HR strategic practices
Experience with investigations and bringing closure to complex HR issues through the domestic enquiry process
Experience with coaching and counseling at all levels of the organization
Experience collaborating across teams and varying levels of the organization and building relationships while in a business-related role (HR, Legal & Compliance, Financial/ Internal Audit)
Bi/poly-lingual – Kannada & Hindi is preferable
Experience in a manufacturing and service environment
