The Services Technical Consultant – General Ledger will manage and execute the entire implementation life cycle including planning, discovery, design, configuration, and deployment in addition to project and client management responsibilities, focusing on General Ledger requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy implementation project plans and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and optimize return on investment.
  • Manage all aspects of the implementation process which includes collaborative consultation with the client, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, unit and integration testing, training, and full deployment.
  • Apply functional and technical expertise to effectively execute requirements definition, solution design, configuration, unit and integration testing, training, and full deployment
  • Partner with client project managers and executives throughout implementation.
  • Consult and advise customers through the implementation process on best practices that maximize value and return on investment.
  • Guide client through the appropriate order of features to successfully set up the General Ledger.
  • Collaborate with the project team, internal partners, external client, and third parties to ensure the successful delivery of the time and attendance management system.
  • Engaging specific client contacts, such as Controllers, Accountants, and Financial Officers to complete analysis of client specific GL journal entry requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Accounting with IT.
  • Basic accounting knowledge or prior experience working in Accounting.
  • 1 Year in software implementation experience with a focus on Accounting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in XML, XSLT, CSV and SQL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot problems to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions
  • Specific experience with Payroll modules within Workday, Ultimate, Lawson or ADP is strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead enterprise project teams with proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively and to coach others to work effectively
  • Proven ability to document requirements, issues, and outcomes
  • Practical knowledge of payroll and time systems, production environment and implementation practices
  • Excellent organization, communication (Bilingual including French would be an advantage) and collaboration skills

Working Hours

  • Work closely with US and Canada colleagues, so need to cover EST hours.
  • Night shift (5pm – 2am)
