Job summary

Head of Sales oversees all activities of Sales department and report directly to the Director of Sales & Services. The Head of Sales provides sales and channel management and supports to the business in advancing overall sales and marketing goals and objectives.

S/he partners with various departments in maximizing sales performances, and revenue, improving decision-making, and ultimately driving Sales force effectiveness and efficiency across channel, cluster and customer/consumer segments. The Head of Sales must have strong sales management skills, communication skills, and a hands-on approach in delivering results.

JOB SCOPE:

Develops and executes national sales strategy and plan for all services, channels and touchpoints, ensuring that these are being effectively implemented in order to meet sales and marketing objectives,

Other scopes are inclusive of management of trade researches, channel development, trade partner relationship management and ensuring effective resources, infrastructures, processes and systems of Sales department are ready for current and future business needs.

Key Accountability 
  • Leads the entire sales department, overseeing all activities of sales team in ensuring proper execution of company plan to deliver objectives
  • Supervises sales personnel and ensuring accurate execution of their duties. Acts as a mentor to key managers and talents to encourage their professional growth, and to ready them for the succession of higher positions in the future.
  • Assists Sales Managers and Key Account Handlers in the development of key trade partners through the formulation and implementation of channel and account strategies and plans in order to maximize sales, share performance and key customer profitability growth.
  • Manages sales budgeting processes and produces demand forecasting, sales reports, market intelligent reports in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Builds brand presence through partnerships for branding and acquisition through affiliate and short-term promotional events
  • Optimizes existing growth channels and continuously tests new and innovative campaigns to uncover untapped potential of the market.
  • Additionally, plays a leading role in the optimization of sales management systems and processes. Handles end to end projects efficiently and timely, based on the budget given.
  • Develops and implements annual and seasonal sales strategies, plans and launches. Monitors and evaluates cycle activities to propose improvement plan and execution.
  • Evaluates and analyses market dynamics, trade channel and key partners performances in order to provide recommendations and solutions to further enhance Sales performance. This includes a detailed understanding of trade and consumer behaviour, utilizing the various available tools and systems to assist in implementing strategy.
  • Contributes in the development of point of sales materials, premium gift, giveaway items and in-store communication materials in order to achieve maximum Brand awareness and imagery in all sales channels within approved budgets and timeline.
  • Provides Market information and reports on performance to ensure that the Director of Sales & Services, Leadership Team and relevant team members are fully informed at all times and take appropriate response actions on a timely basis.
  • Works closely with other departments to deliver objectives as plan and foster strong team work spirit.
  • Establishes close working relationships with strategic partners in order to gain high levels of supports and loyalty whilst enhancing understanding of the trading environment and industry dynamics.
  • Collaborates with relevant stakeholders in ensuring accurate representation of the company and maintenance high level of business integrity in the industry and ensure compliance with legislation and internal policy.
  • Keeps the sales department abreast of changes in the industry inclusive of trade and marketing legislations, regulations and ensures that all Sales transactions across the business are in legal compliance.
  • Conducts research and identifies opportunities for business to continue raising the bar of performance.
  • Understands the market, where we can meet our potential target, acquires new customers, meet business and growth predefined KPIs
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Education:
    Bachelors degree in Business Administration, preferably Tourism and Hospitality Management. The equivalent of the same in practical experience is also acceptable.
    Experience:
    At least 5 years of working experience in relevant fields
    The candidate will also be better suited with experience in travel industry.
    MS Office and Software:
    Possess good computer skill, being proficient in Digital Social Apps, Ms Excel, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint, which will all be necessary for the effective performance of the creation of reports, proposals and recommendations.
