Essential Functions: 

Our Packaging Specialists support the regional Sales Territory Representatives and Regional Sales Managers of a defined region and will be responsible for working together to continue to drive sales, growth, and gross profit of our packaging equipment in the assigned region. International travel is possible depending on event schedules, supplier training, relationship building, customer visits, and career growth. We are seeking aggressive, enthusiastic and determined professionals who can professionally represent our packaging solutions to new and existing customers. This regional sales territory consists of selling and assisting customers in the states of Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and South Carolina.


Job Duties may include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide the Reiser sales team with technical support on packaging machines. 
  • Support and communicate with sales team on all packaging calls with customers. 
  • Professionally represent our products to new and existing customers. 
  • Continually build pipelines through cold-calling, networking, and maintaining positive relationships; internally and externally. 
  • Share best sales practices with team and company. 
  • Be actively involved with sales industry associations and attend relevant packaging trade shows. 
  • Ensure technical documentation and reports are accurate and are received on time.      
  • Help to facilitate quotations, product samples, and deliveries. 
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of each packaging machine and their application in the marketplace. 
  • Track sales of packaging equipment in the assigned territory, growth, and market penetration. 
  • Train new sales personnel on packaging and what markets each product is best suited for. 
  • Work with the Reiser Service Team on machine installations. 
  • Attending national and regional sales meetings and packaging trade shows. 
Requirements

  

  • Direct experience selling or providing technical support of packaging equipment or products (preferably in the meat/food/cheese industries). 
  • Strong knowledge of Overwrap, Thermoform, Lid Seal and Modified Atmosphere Packaging Applications.   
  • Understands importance of selling equipment with the added service component and working closely with service team. 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task. 
  • Comfortable communicating with people on the shop floor to presidents of companies. 
  • Ability to travel overnight roughly 70% regionally based or more based on customer needs.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred but not required. 
  • May reside anywhere in the greater territory, ideally within an hour radius of a major airport.
