YOUR MISSION
Glovo keeps growing day after day, that's why we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Sr. Lawyer that will work with the HQ Legal Team of the company and with the Portuguese local team on managing the day to day implications in the business.
THE JOURNEY
- Have a 360º role, providing legal support to all departments of the business
- Assess and advice on the launch of new verticals, projects, commercial activities and operations challenges
- Review, analyse, negotiate and draft all kind of contracts with all the players involved in the business
- Attend requests and prepare inspections of the labour authority. Develop the strategy and prepare trials in the labour jurisdiction in coordination with external lawyers and the HQ team. Represent Glovo in litigation matters related to our business model.
- Be the main legal point of contact of Portugal and be the reference of the local team for all legal matters related to the Portuguese market
- Get your hands dirty – when there is a problem, you will find a way to fix it
- Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference
- Governance, risk and compliance - assist with the drafting and revising of local policies and procedures and creating communications and training (e.g., web/e-learning) related to these documents.Work closely with global stakeholders. Assist with assessments and investigations and related mitigation efforts. Be a local compliance officer.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- At least 9-10 years of working experience as in-house legal counsel or in a law firm with proven experience in labour law, regulatory law, commercial contracts and corporate law
- Native Portuguese speaker
- Advanced English (speaking and drafting)
- Knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Knowledge of labour matters
- Knowledge of other fields of law (compliance, corporate, litigation and data protection are a plus)
- Highly motivated in the world of start-ups and new technologies
- Problem solver, Multitasking, Thinking out of the box, Organized and detail-oriented person
- International profile, able to work in a flexible, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment
- An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
