Serigor is currently hiring Jr. Accountant Specialist (REMOTE) to support our US / Indian Accounting Department in Payroll, AP/AR, General Accounting related functions.

 

100% Work from Home is allowed for ideal candidates

Must be ready to work in US Shift timings : 7 PM to 4 AM IST

Must have good communication skills


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing general US Accounting and/or US payroll functions such as timesheets, invoices from contractors, AP/AR, compute wages and deductions, tracking PTOs., reimbursements etc.
  • Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major reports- month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation
  • Develop / Review contract agreements like MSA (Master Service Agreement), Employment agreement, SOW, NDA
  • Assist in H1b Visa processing function independently
  • Manage accounting policy and regulations, assist in reconciliation and payroll procedures
  • Manage accounts of associated clients/service providers located in US and overseas
  • Collaborate with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns/tax compliances
  • Act as point of contact for complaints and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Maintain cordial relation with clients and involve in client engagement
 

Desired Candidate Profile

 
  • Degree in Accounting, Book-keeping, Finance, or a similar field.
  • At least 0-3 years of relevant experience working on Indian/US accounting, book-keeping, and payroll activities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Experience with ADP or Intuit QuickBooks is a huge plus but not mandatory
