Job description

We're seeking organized and dedicated Healthcare Virtual Assistants to join our team, to service our network of businesses worldwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a medical field or related pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, reaching at least C1 proficiency
  • Thorough comprehension of medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency in navigating EHR/EMR systems and adept at troubleshooting common technical issues
  • Knowledgeable about healthcare privacy regulations
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities
  • Robust organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Technologically adept, familiar with contemporary tools such as desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP
  • Available to work the night shift

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Record details of new patient admissions and referrals.
  • Oversee the scheduling of appointments, managing changes such as cancellations and rescheduling for both patients and healthcare providers.
  • Enter patient data, medical records (including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes), and billing information into EMR/EHR systems.
  • Assist in processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance details, and handling billing inquiries, concerns, and documentation.
  • Address incoming patient inquiries, offering assistance and guiding them to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Assist in the analysis of healthcare data, compiling reports, and maintaining records.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, uphold privacy standards, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Arrange for the transfer of medical records to various departments, healthcare providers, and professionals as instructed by the Managing Physician.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
