We are looking to hire a

Recycled Paper Quality Control Inspector

Based in the greater Chicago Area | Position Code: USI - 0524

Responsibilities

  • Visiting supplier facilities in order to inspect recycled paper to verify its quality and suitability for specific customer needs

  • Planning of inspections and travel efficiently and effectively on a regular basis

  • Communicate inspection findings and reports with the relevant departments

  • Creating inspection reports manually and within the system

  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Participating in departmental meetings

  • Identify and investigate possible issues or potential new ventures directly with suppliers and other colleagues

  • Other ad hoc duties

The ideal candidate

  • Experience working in a recycling or manufacturing facility (desirable)

  • Awareness of different paper grades or willingness to learn

  • Availability to travel in the greater Mid-West area frequently (90%) and sometimes at short notice

  • Access to own car with full liability insurance essential ($ per mile paid)

  • High commitment to personal safety

  • Physically fit and capable of long periods standing/walking as well as some lifting
