Job Description -



The Retail Marketing IT team is seeking an experienced DevOps Developer to mature and scale our existing software delivery processes. Our objective is to empower our software development team to spend more time developing and less time on process and delivery. This position will be responsible for ensuring the existing delivery pipeline meets CVS security standards as well as industry best-practices. We are seeking a developer that can take "good” and make it ”great”. Our long-term plans include expanding our DevOps pipeline to include applications outside of the Marketing portfolio and continue to be a leader in DevOps practices.



We are open-source enthusiasts and readily embrace new technologies. We build web applications in a variety of languages using a diverse toolset. Agile methodologies are essential to our practice, both Scrum and Kanban in separate instances. We are dedicated to learning and collaboration, personal career growth, and maximizing our impact on the business. Our software creates in-store signing, automates newspaper and digital circular production, and handles image processing. Our users create and manage content for CVS.com with the tools we have created. We build RESTful APIs with PostgreSQL and Node.js. We write client applications in Javascript using Ember.



Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years previous experience implementing/maintaining a DevOps pipeline.
• 3+ years experience with containerization (Docker).
• 3+ years experience in continuous integration and deployment methods and industry bestpractices.
• Experience creating and maintaining playbooks.
• Experience with cloud development, AZURE a plus.
• Strong focus on userexperience, usability, and workflow efficiency.



Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with a wide range of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Ubuntu, Linux and CentOS)
• Experience with the following or similar tools:
  • Docker
  • Ansible
  • Jenkins
  • Terraform
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Ability to move and followthrough with projects and features through full development cycle: requirements, business analysis, code, QA, UAT
