Role: Mid to Sr. React Native Engineers
Duration: 6 months to start, but ongoing

Our mobile engineers collaborate on a day to day basis to design and develop the next generation of functionality for our Guest mobile app.

Responsibilities:

Lead software design, prototype, and development of the React Native apps.
Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing mobile apps.
Write clean, maintainable code and performing peer code-reviews
Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules
Establish architectural principles, select design patterns and then mentor team members on their appropriate application
Work closely with product and design teams to customize our Excalibur app
Facilitate and drive communication between mobile engineers and back-end engineers

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science
3+ years building complex, high quality iOS and Android applications using React Native, and have a strong knowledge of React Native app design principles, patterns, and best practices
Strong proficiency with Javascript, Typescript and App frameworks
Deep understanding of iOS and Android platform, including different device capabilities, battery life, performance, and notifications.
Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining React Native app
Experience writing tests in test suites like Jest or Mocha
Experience with Bluetooth and NFC within the context of mobile development.
Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio and IntelliJ
Strong knowledge of REST architecture and working with Domain APIs
Experience integrating mobile clients with microservices (REST based APIs) and GraphQL
Bias for a shift-left, test driven development
Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and proactivity

Preferred Technology Experience:

Test automation framework experience across multiple mobile platforms, such as Selenium and Appium
Continuous Integration using Jenkins
Experience working with Fastlane for automated development and release process.
Experience with distributed databases such as Couchbase or Realm
Experience with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence
