Job Title: Content Strategist & Scriptwriter
Location:
Remote (EST Time Zone)
Salary Range:
up to 1600 USD, (based on experience)

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST), with one evening check-in (~9:00 PM EST)

About the Company:

Sagan represents a video and podcast production company working with high-performing creators and businesses to produce podcasts, long-form video, and short-form content across platforms. Were looking for a sharp, creative, and detail-obsessed Content Strategist to help us identify trends, script high-performing content, and shape the narrative voice for our clients and internal shows. This is a hybrid strategic + hands-on writing role.

Position Overview:

The Creative Operations Coordinator is the engine behind our production workflow -- owning timelines, building efficient systems, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple projects. Youll collaborate closely with editors, strategists, and the founder to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Key Responsibilities:

Scriptwriting & Content Creation:

  • Craft 25-90 sec scripts built for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and X, using tight hooks and clear narrative beats.
  • Distill interviews, webinars, or written briefs into concise, high-energy scripts that keep audience retention high.
  • Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Descript, etc.) to brainstorm angles, polish copy, and pull standout clip moments.
  • Partner with video editors to be sure pacing, tone, and visual flow hit each platforms sweet spot.


Platform Research & Trend Development:

  • Keep an active swipe file of top-performing formats, transitions, and story structures across major social apps.
  • Track emerging trends, audio memes, and storytelling patterns; summarize takeaways for the team and clients.
  • Turn insights into quick pilots or A/B-test ideas, recommending which formats, hooks, or CTAs to try next.


Brand Voice & Creative Direction:

  • Define (and keep refining) each clients voice guidelines -- tone, pacing, visual style, and on-screen text rules.
  • Write focused creative briefs for editors, covering narrative intent, motion cues, and must-hit brand moments.
  • Lead review cycles: give actionable feedback on timing, delivery, graphics, and overall brand consistency.


Creative Support & Ideation:

  • Brainstorm content concepts for new pitches, series launches, or one-off campaigns; back ideas with reference links.
  • Provide interview question lists and spin raw answers into snappy short-form segments or highlight reels.
  • Draft scroll-stopping titles, descriptions, and captions; coordinate thumbnail or cover-art design when needed.

  • You have excellent written English and can shift tone based on the audience.
  • You're extremely online-always watching, analyzing, and saving what works.
  • You have experience writing short-form scripts, headlines, hooks, or ad copy.
  • You're collaborative, fast-moving, and thoughtful about creative decisions.
  • You're familiar with the dynamics of podcasting, video, and content repurposing.
  • Bonus: experience working with AI writing tools or prompt engineering.
  • You'll collaborate daily with the founder and our creative team.
