Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Serve Students Nationwide

As a member of the MIYO Health team, you’ll provide virtual, school-based services to students who are blind or visually impaired, with the full support of our community, tools, and mission-driven culture.

Position Details:

  • Location: Fully remote — work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Schedule: Part-time for the 2025–2026 school year
  • Caseload: School-based (public school districts and/or charter schools; varies by assignment)

Requirements

  • Active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Florida certification preferred, but not required - we will reimburse for cross-licensing!
  • Licensure in additional states is a plus!
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting students with visual impairments in a school setting
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs, Functional Vision Assessments (FVAs), and Learning Media Assessments (LMAs)
  • Skilled in adapting instructional materials and leveraging assistive technology
  • Comfort with virtual instruction and digital collaboration tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and school teams
  • Organized, flexible, and passionate about making education accessible
