We are looking for a part-time, freelance SEO Manager, Contractor to manage and support SEO strategy and technical implementation for the agency.

This is the Job:

  • Partner with Client and internal team to ensure Client satisfaction and retention.
  • Strategize with Client and internal team to uncover new business opportunities and increase agency revenue.
  • Conduct keyword research.
  • Optimize Client websites including meta data, on-page content recommendations, image ALT tags and Schema markup recommendations for increased visibility in organic search, AI Overviews, Local search results and AI platforms.
  • Implement SEO optimizations into various CMS including WordPress, Shopify, AEM and more.
  • Perform technical website audits to uncover issues with indexing, duplicate content, canonical issues, site speed and other SEO best practices.
  • Perform visibility benchmarking for Client websites and competitors for both organic search, AI Overviews and AI Platforms.
  • Manage Client invoicing and budget approvals, and ensuring budget pacing is aligned with Client allocations and objectives.
  • Support new business acquisition and participate in the pitch process as needed.
  • Monitor the overall performance of SEO and create and present compelling performance narratives that demonstrate ROI.
  • Own the strategy development and technical SEO implementation for a portfolio of Clients.
  • Analyze and translate complex data into persuasive narratives and reports tailored for decision-makers and C-level executives.
  • Establish relationships with Clients as a trusted advisor, consulting on campaign strategy that aligns with the Clients' KPIs and targets.
  • Conduct onboarding for new Clients ensuring a seamless transition from sales to marketing.

This is You:

  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, primarily in account management, and/or SEO project management; agency-side preferred
  • Experience growing revenue on Client accounts
  • Experience with SEO strategy for various business verticals including eCommerce, hospitality, B2B, education and non-profit Client accounts
  • Experience with Local SEO and Google Business Profile management, optimization, verification, best practices and overcoming issues such as listing suspension or being marked as duplicate
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Highly effective at cross-functional collaboration
  • Proven track record of managing successful SEO strategy and implementation
  • Comprehensive understanding of keyword research
  • Familiar with SEO reporting and analytical tools including GA4, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMRush etc.
  • Proficient to expert with MS Office suite
  • Experience with large scale technical audits of websites
  • AI enthusiast, keeping up with the latest trends including optimizing for AI platforms and AI Overviews
  • Experience with Link building
  • Experience with implementation into website CMS
  • Experience with Schema Markup testing and implementation
  • Understanding of SEO relation to JavaScript, CSS and HTML
  • Deep understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, and analytics
