Job description

THE COMPANY

Course Report, a Career.io brand, is a resource for prospective students researching intensive bootcamp programs for web development, design, or data science. Course Report features reviews, application tips, webinars and interviews with founders, students, and instructors to equip students with all the details they need to choose the coding boot camp that’s right for their learning style and time commitment needs.

THE ROLE

We’re seeking a Part-Time Marketing Specialist to produce and manage editorial content – including interviews, Q&As, and articles – that supports our mission and drives engagement. You’ll work directly with sponsor schools, alumni, and subject matter experts to gather compelling stories, collaborate with freelancers and editors, and keep our content pipeline running smoothly.

This is a 100% remote/work-from-home role, approximately 25 hours per week.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and present content ideas with school partners each quarter. Coordinate content timelines and manage feedback loops to publish ~25 pieces of content per quarter.
  • Conduct video/audio interviews with bootcamp alumni and instructors for written and multimedia content
  • Draft Q&A-style articles and short bios based on interview transcripts, with guidance from the editorial team
  • Collaborate with freelance video/audio editors to move interviews through production
  • Publish content in our CMS, including formatting, embedding video, and assuring quality
  • Oversee social media and newsletter calendar – manage freelancers responsible for production of this content
  • Track deliverables, ensure content is published on schedule, and report regularly on content status.
  • Onboard new schools + make basic site updates as needed
THE MUST-HAVES
  • 3+ years experience in content creation, content strategy, journalism, editorial, or partner-facing roles
  • Comfortable conducting video/audio interviews and asking thoughtful follow-up questions
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Understanding of SEO, keyword research, and editorial best practices for digital content
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects on tight timelines
  • Familiarity with any Content Management System, Google Docs or Notion, Riverside or Zoom, Mailchimp or Customer.io, and Slack
  • You should be comfortable using generative AI tools to streamline and improve content creation. You don’t need to be an expert in AI, but you should be curious and adaptable — open to learning new processes and tech to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Authorization to work for any US employer.
THE NICE-TO-HAVES
  • Experience managing freelancers
  • Basic video/audio editing skills
  • Interest in education, skills training, workforce development, or the future of work is a strong plus
