Job description

M&A Integration Lead
Remote Position
6+ Month Contract, with potential extension


This is a remote, consultant role for an experienced M&A integration professional who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You will act as the central coordinator between acquired companies and internal teams—many of which are lean or still maturing in structure.
Bring order to chaos, drive multiple initiatives forward simultaneously, and serve as the point person who gets things done—whether by leading or rolling up their sleeves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end post-merger integration process, coordinating across functional areas including Operations, HR, IT, Finance, Compliance, and more
  • Act as the bridge between acquired companies and internal departments, ensuring seamless communication, alignment, and execution
  • Create and manage detailed integration roadmaps with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics
  • Identify risks, remove roadblocks, and accelerate decision-making to keep integration efforts on track
  • Provide regular progress updates to executive stakeholders, surfacing key issues and recommending solutions
  • Take direct ownership of integration deliverables where internal bandwidth is limited
  • Document integration playbooks, best practices, and lessons learned to refine future efforts
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in post-merger integration, corporate development, or transformation program management
  • Strong familiarity with environmental services, field-based operations, or industrial services preferred
  • Experience working in private equity-backed or mid-market environments highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive measurable outcomes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to executives
  • Highly organized, solutions-oriented, and proactive
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
Additional Details:
  • Location: Remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
  • Contract Duration: Initial 6 months with strong potential for extension
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required to acquired sites or for integration kickoffs
