This is a remote position.

Schedule: Flexible during client business hours (Los Angeles – PST)
Total Weekly Hours: 20 hours

As a Solar System Design Specialist, you’ll use tools like Aurora Solar and Energy Toolbase to turn building plans into efficient solar designs. This remote, part-time role offers a mix of technical work and creative problem-solving, with flexibility and purpose.



Responsibilities
  • Design residential and commercial solar and battery systems using Aurora Solar

  • Analyze architectural plans and specs to create efficient designs

  • Ensure compliance with California Title 24 energy standards

  • Use Energy Toolbase for detailed system analysis and optimization

  • Create accurate technical documentation for installations

  • Customize designs based on client needs and site specifics

  • Collaborate with the US-based team to improve designs


Requirements
  • Proficiency in Aurora Solar or similar design software

  • Strong understanding of architectural plans

  • Knowledge of (or ability to learn) California Title 24 standards

  • Experience with Energy Toolbase or similar tools

  • Background in both residential and commercial system design

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
