This position is only open to current CDPHE employees. This is a part-time position at 50% FTE.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 1:00pm - 5:00pm

This position is term-limited, meaning employment cannot be guaranteed beyond May 15th, 2028.

Description Of Job

The Work Unit:

The Data Systems and Business Services (DSBS) Unit is under the direction of the Deputy Division Director and exists to provide a wide spectrum of services and support to the management and staff of the Division of Environmental Health and Sustainability (DEHS). The Unit consists of staff that provide a variety of services to division and department staff and external customers. The services include, but are not limited to personnel administration, data system administration including providing data requirements assessment, staff and local public health agency training for electronic data reporting, electronic data transfer, database reporting and data entry, office management (e.g. space allocation, telephone and fax services, office supplies), human resources, external communication, social media and web site maintenance, coordination of information technology services (both hardware and software) with OIT, and all processes which control the creation, maintenance, security, storage, retrieval, timely destruction and use of official division records, as well as responding to Colorado Open Records Act requests.

Summary Of Position

The position exists to provide support to the Data Systems and Business Services Unit Manager, Deputy Division Director, the Fiscal Services Unit Manager, and the Division Director. This role provides administrative to the division's programs and regulatory activities. The role includes logging applications into the tracking system, assisting with accessibility initiatives, and inputting data into divisional databases.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience Only:

Four (4) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.

OR

Education And Experience

A combination of related education and experience assigned equal to four (4) years such as a bachelors degree from an accredited institution in business, public health, environmental health or similar degree and one (1) year of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work.

Preferred Qualifications And Essential Competencies

The preferred experience, competencies and abilities are highly desirable for this position and will be considered in selecting the successful candidate:

  • Relevant years of State service contribute to a candidate's position-related knowledge, skill, ability, behavior or other posted competency should be considered and given weight under the process.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Entering data into databases and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and speed, preferred experience with HS Govtech database.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and experience with closed captioning remediation.
  • Knowledge of CommonLook PDF remediation software.

Appeal Rights
