Senior Salesforce Engineer


Location: Remote (South America)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Team: Engineering


About the Role

Greenbox Capital is seeking a curious, driven, and collaborative Senior Salesforce Engineer to help scale our Salesforce platform across multiple clouds and business units. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants their work to have a direct impact on business outcomes.

In this role, you will design and build custom Salesforce solutions, working with Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud. You will partner with product owners, architects, and engineers to deliver impactful tools that support both internal teams and customers. You will also help optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and promote developmental best practices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement features using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and custom APIs
  • Own the build, testing, and delivery of high-quality code aligned with business priorities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the Salesforce environment
  • Optimize existing Salesforce applications for speed, scalability, and usability
  • Follow and promote best practices for testing, version control, and deployment pipelines

Who You Will Work With

This role collaborates closely with Salesforce Architects, Engineers, QA, Product Managers, and Technology Leadership. While this position does not have direct reports initially, it involves providing technical guidance and serving as a key contributor on the team.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce development and administration
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs
  • Experience with Salesforce Clouds including Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud
  • Proven experience with REST, SOAP, and other Salesforce integrations
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, and sharing rules
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, Gearset, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrated success with multiple Salesforce implementations at the enterprise level
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II or higher preferred
  • Experience or familiarity with the alternative lending or financial services industry is a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure DevOps for agile project tracking and reporting
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, especially in remote work environments
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities
  • High emotional intelligence and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional initiatives

  • Reliability: Timely delivery of complete and functional technology products
  • Efficiency: Accuracy of effort estimation compared to actual time spent
  • Quality: Ratio of confirmed defects to total development effort
