Position Overview

Quatrain Creative, a content marketing agency, is seeking long-term relationships with experienced B2B-focused copywriters to develop short-form, conversion-focused content for multiple clients. Assignments include marketing emails, sales sheets, web copy, slide decks, social posts, and other branding and sales-focused copy.

Many of our clients are in the tech space, so candidates should have a good grasp of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex and sometimes unfamiliar information into clear, attention-grabbing copy. They should be able to develop pieces that speak to C-suite executives and key decision-makers who may not have technical backgrounds.

This is a remote, project-based freelance opportunity. Good communication and attention to details and deadlines are critical in this position.

Please include samples of relevant B2B work—such as email, web, social, or other marketing copy—from industries such as tech, insurance, finance, healthcare, or education.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for emails, web pages, marketing materials, one-pagers, slide decks, social posts, and ads
  • Create engaging and impactful copy that resonates with the client’s audience and drives action
  • Develop and refine content for multiple channels, ensuring each piece is tailored for its specific medium
  • Collaborate with the client’s marketing and product teams to align messaging and goals

The ideal candidate:

  • Analyzes market trends and audience insights to inform content strategies
  • Is experienced and comfortable working directly with clients and collaborating on video calls
  • Can work autonomously, diving into background sources to pull out relevant information and develop compelling copy that matches the client’s voice
  • Can deliver high-quality work on time and communicate closely with Quatrain leadership on projects
  • Ensures all written deliverables are edited, proofread, and client-ready with minimal need for revisions
  • Optimizes all copy, making sure each piece adheres to brand guidelines, style, tone, etc. and is grammatically correct and consistent
  • Possesses excellent project management, time-management, and communication skills
  • Is fluent in English, both written and spoken essential
  • Will develop a working knowledge of the subject matter through additional research and self-education, as needed, to inform their writing
  • Asks good questions and takes the initiative to clarify any points of confusion and familiarize themselves with new concepts
  • Can assess source material (from interviews, other existing verbiage, or a basic outline) and strategize an effective way to present it through written copy that explains and communicates key messages
  • Has experience learning and writing about new or complex topics
  • Has experience writing engaging content for niche B2B audiences
  • Has familiarity with SEO best practices and web traffic metrics

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of working experience as a B2B copywriter in an agency setting
  • Ability to expertly lead client calls, driving productive discussion and nurturing client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of content marketing strategy and channels
  • Experience with keyword placement and SEO best practices
  • Experience writing for a senior executive audience
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts, strategies, and tools
  • Previous experience with B2B SaaS, cloud tech, or Gen AI
