QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance and automation testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will be involved in both automated and manual testing tasks, working closely with developers and product managers to identify potential issues before software release.

Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end Cypress automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript. 

• Build automation for our Frontend Applications 

• Implement automated validations for complex Kubernetes-deployed applications. 

• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows. 

• Contribute to system reliability by automating smoke, regression, and deployment validation tests. 

• Collaborate with developers and DevOps for smooth test execution on preview/QA environments. 

• Monitor and report on automation test results, coverage, and stability over builds. 

• Ensure proper data-testid usage and implement testability improvements. 

• Perform the following type of tests: 

• Automation Test 

• Black Box Testing 

• Functional Testing 

• Smoke Testing (Automation) 

• Regression Testing (Automation) 

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in automated software testingStrong programming experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in http://Cypress.io for UI and API test automation.
• Proficient with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows for test orchestration and deployment validation.
• Experience testing Micro Frontends and Microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs
• Experience with test result dashboards (Mochawesome), and Slack notifications for test outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration of automation tests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work on scientific platforms, lab automation, or protocol orchestration is a plus.
• Exposure to component libraries like Material UI and dynamic DOM handling.
• Experience using test case management tools (TestRail, Xray).
• Experience with feature flagging, environment config management.
