A strategic advisor and former CEO in the global renewable energy sector, with deep expertise in developing, financing, and scaling sustainable energy infrastructure projects.
Project
The project is focused on evaluating the investment feasibility of Greenfield wind developments in Spain, Italy, and Poland for a globally active renewable energy investor.
The core objective is to determine whether a 1.5x to 2.0x return on capital is achievable through a comprehensive financial modelling exercise. Leveraging your existing wind model, the work involves gathering country-specific inputs to simulate development, construction, operations, and eventual exit scenarios. The analysis is structured to be executed over 2–3 days per country.

Key Deliverables
Validated Financial Model: Tailored for wind Greenfield development across Spain, Italy, and Poland, simulating development, construction, operations, and exit phases.
Country-Specific Input Packs: Including macroeconomic data, Capex/Devex/Opex benchmarks, merchant price forecasts, regulatory insights, and financing conditions.
Scenario-Based IRR Analysis: Base, downside, and upside case outputs, including sensitivity tables and cash-on-cash return metrics.
Strategic Recommendations: Playbook outlining pathways to achieve 1.5x–2.0x returns, with risks, constraints, and mitigation strategies.
Investor Presentation Slides: Professional slide deck with country-by-country summaries, return analysis, and go/no-go insights
Requirements
Experience Required:
Proven track record in renewable energy project finance, particularly wind energy and Greenfield development.
Deep familiarity with financial modeling and structuring for utility-scale infrastructure, including non-recourse financing and merchant exposure.
Experience working with international investors and stakeholders in Spain, Italy, or Poland—preferably in a capital advisory or IPP context.
Strong understanding of exit dynamics, equity returns, and yield-driven valuation in energy M&A.
Technical Requirements:
Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling, including dynamic scenario and sensitivity modeling – has their own wind model as baseline.
Ability to integrate and manipulate external data sources (e.g., price forecasts, capex benchmarks).
PowerPoint fluency
Familiarity with key industry datasets and sources
Other:
Analytical clarity with an ability to translate complex financial insights into concise, investor-friendly narratives.
Strong independent research capability and comfort with incomplete or uncertain data environments.
Excellent cross-cultural communication, especially for European energy markets.
Responsiveness and ability to work at pace—delivering results in a compressed multi-day format for each country.
