Responsibilities

The Department of Psychology & Counseling at New York Institute of Technology anticipates an opening for a part-time (adjunct) instructor for online and/or evening courses for the Summer 2025 semester. The Department of Psychology and Counseling offers degrees in school counseling and mental health counseling. We expect that the new hires be qualified to teach courses in counseling children and adolescents, clinical assessment, and/or professional ethics.

Qualifications

These candidates must have a minimum Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and counseling licensure.

A Doctorate in Counselor Education is strongly preferred.

Candidates should have prior experience in remote and/or online teaching using an LMS (such as Canvas) for course delivery.

All adjuncts will be expected to participate in orientation to teaching technologies, as needed, before the start of the semester.

Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.

Minimum Salary

USD $97.00/Hr.

Maximum Salary

USD $106.00/Yr.
