Job description

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our team on a self-employed, contract basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can confidently oversee day-to-day site operations, ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, manage subcontractors, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will be detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, proactive and able to work independently. You will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
 
This role involves travelling and managing construction sites, which may include exposure to various weather conditions and travelling   Job RequirementsEssential: 
  • Experience as a site supervisor/Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of   successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and team   management skills.
  • Excellent organisational   and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in project   management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction   processes, materials, and regulations.
  • SMSTS
  • Valid UK Driving Licence 
  • EUSR SHEA POWER or valid CSCS card
Desirable: 
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • UKPIA – Experience in working within a petrol forecourt environment.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work
Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Provide safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, according to project specifications and industry best practices.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Manage site resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the timely procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
  • Report project status to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting any issues or delays.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
