This is a remote position.

Role Name: Bookkeeper

Schedule:
12 hours/week, 3 hours per day during Monday–Thursday 12pm-3pm PST

Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced remote bookkeeper to support the finance function of a successful event venue operation. This part-time role offers a balance of flexibility and accountability, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in an organized and creative business environment. You’ll work directly with the business owner to ensure the accuracy of financial data across various revenue streams related to events and venue rentals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations

  • Process and reconcile weekly transactions for events, bookings, and vendor payments

  • Organize and maintain categorised financial documentation

  • Ensure accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping

  • Provide clear and timely financial reports and updates

  • Support financial planning by tracking revenue and expenses related to multiple event types

  • Collaborate closely with the business owner to optimize financial workflows



Requirements
  • Proven experience with Xero or QuickBooks accounting software

  • At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in events, hospitality, or service industries

  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment

  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace

  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and data accuracy
