Job description

This is a remote position.

A growing accounting/tax practice assisting with clients' monthly accounting and payroll work including bank, debtor, creditor and VAT reconciliations and preparation of SARS returns requires an experienced Bookkeeper. Fully remote for 5 to 10 hours per week. Sage One and Xero proficiency required.

Candidate should have proficiency in accounting software, knowledge of basic accounting principles, attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to manage time efficiently.

This role is a fully remote position, so candidates must provide their own equipment including a laptop, suitable workspace and stable and secure internet connection.

Given the nature of the work, keeping the employer's and client's information confidential and secure is essential.

Experience and requirements:

- Sage One and Xero cloud applications experience required

- Extensive experience in the Bookkeeping / Accounting field working remotely (5-10 hours per week)

- Attention to detail
