Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Time
  • 30-minute paid break

Job Responsibilities
  • Place orders for inventory items based on established guidelines, ensuring timely procurement to meet production and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, delivery, and product quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track stock availability, and manage stock replenishment to prevent supply chain disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including order details, delivery schedules, and supplier communications.
  • Investigate and resolve any procurement issues, including delayed shipments or discrepancies in received goods.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Accounts Payable, to ensure smooth invoicing and payment processes.
  • Manage and update product information in the database, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with product listings.
  • Set up new products on platforms, ensuring proper categorization, pricing, and alignment with sustainability messaging.
  • Conduct research to support competitive pricing strategies while maintaining sustainable profit margins.
  • Maintain product content, including descriptions, images, and specifications, ensuring that they align with company standards.

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics
