Regulatory affairs (RA) is a profession developed from the desire of governments to protect public health by controlling the safety and efficacy of products in areas including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumer products among others, and by the companies responsible for the discovery, testing, manufacture and marketing of these products wanting to ensure that they supply products that are safe and make a worthwhile contribution to public health and welfare.

Position Summary:

The MedTech Global RA CoOp role will provide an opportunity to develop practical experience in the Regulatory Affairs Acquisition and Divestitures (RA A&D) group.

MedTech Global RA CoOp Experiences Include: 

  • Partner with members of the Regulatory Affairs Acquisition and Divestiture (RA A&D) team and their wider community of practice (CoP) to evaluate current A&D training materials and propose opportunities for efficiencies/improvements.
  • Implement new and improved training materials that engage the RA A&D CoP.
  • Support the Director of the RA A&D team in developing new departmental metrics.
  • Attend project team meetings with RA lead to assist in strategic discussions to hone team collaboration skillset.
  • Data analytics from regulatory information management systems (RIM) and reports / dashboards / presentations development. 
  • Positively contribute to team and organisational culture.

  

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a graduate program (M.S., M.E., Ph.D. or M.D.), pursuing a degree majoring in a scientific, technology, business or project management related field. Examples include, data analytics/applied statistics, quantitative modeling in biology, pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, medical / scientific writing or public health administration. 
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) during Fall (August -December). 
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.  Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Extended Qualifications

  • Problem solving and time management skills
  • Developing graphic communications for data and research
  • Ability to work independently with direction and the confidence to seek guidance when needed
  • Experience within a healthcare setting or industry association
  • Experience and familiarity with medical product industry and regulations
  • Proficiency with productivity tools including TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Proficiency with Office 365
  • Handle confidential information in a professional and discrete manner

  

The anticipated base pay for this position is between 22.00/hr and 51.50/hr, but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance. $22.00 per hour - $51.50 per hour
