About the Role We are looking for a Backend Engineer (SDE-II level) with strong experience in Python, Django, and cloud-based SaaS development to join our growing product engineering team. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and configurable backend systems, primarily in the healthcare domain. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, frontend engineers, and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless platform delivery for top-tier clients.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable multi-tenant SaaS applications using Python and Django.
  • Lead the backend architecture for healthcare-focused platforms, ensuring quality, security, and performance.
  • Implement APIs, background tasks, caching, and asynchronous processing using Celery, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
  • Work closely with product teams to translate business requirements into robust technical implementations.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and services while ensuring compliance with industry data protection standards.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance using APM tools, load balancing with Nginx, and deployment pipelines.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to the overall engineering excellence of the team.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 3–6 years of backend development experience, with a focus on SaaS applications and scalable platforms.
  • Strong expertise in Python, Django, and ORM frameworks like SQLAlchemy.
  • Proficiency with cloud services (AWS preferred), RESTful API design, and Linux-based environments.
  • Solid experience with Celery, Redis, and PostgreSQL in production deployments.
  • Familiarity with Nginx, APM tools, and security best practices for healthcare platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver production-grade systems.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to team growth.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
