Job description

We are looking for a Legal Intern to support our Compliance team with legal research, contract review assistance, and administrative support. This is a remote, part-time internship, ideal for law students or recent graduates based in China and fluent in Simplified Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment and contract laws in the regions needed.
  • Draft and review contracts for clients and vendors, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct internal audits and assessments to identify and address potential compliance risks.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance awareness of compliance issues and requirements.
  • Investigate and respond to compliance-related concerns, including coordinating with legal counsel when necessary.
  • Lead the Compliance team, providing guidance and directions.

Requirements

  • Law student or recent graduate, ideally with coursework in contract law or employment law.
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in international business law.
  • Native-level proficiency in Simplified Chinese and strong English communication skills are required. Ability to understand and support legal drafting in both languages preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Prior internship or part-time experience in legal settings is a plus.
  • Proactive approach to staying informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders to drive compliance initiatives.
  • Previous experience working remotely is a plus
