About The Role

Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Subcontracts Manager for the Legal team who will oversee the subcontracting process for Sellers Dorsey, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and business requirements. As the Subcontracts Manager, you will lead subcontract development, review, analysis, and negotiations, managing relationships with subcontractors while mitigating risks. You will also support the organization's strategic goals by ensuring efficient and compliant subcontract management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the subcontracting process, including negotiation through execution. Review, draft, and negotiate subcontractor agreements, amendments, statements of work, and other related documents ensuring compliance with the prime contract, company standards, and any other legal or regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontract management, escalating issues to attorneys and leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of subcontract agreements in the firm’s contract management system, ContractPodAi (“CPAi”), and support audits as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements, including optimizing subcontracting workflows, refining contract management solutions, maintaining standardized templates and playbooks, and implementing best practices for subcontracting processes. Train and assist internal teams in subcontract management practices and provide guidance on subcontractor-related risks and obligations. Train and assist CPAi end users as needed.
  • Responsible for monitoring and oversight of contractual and other legal requirements related to subcontractors while such subcontracts are active, including ongoing background checks, debarment checks, or other reporting requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Contracting, Law or other related field preferred. National Contract Management Association (NCMA) or other similar membership also preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in subcontract management, preferably within healthcare consulting, government contracting, or a regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of subcontract law, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Experience negotiating and managing complex subcontract agreements, including government and commercial subcontracts.
  • Exposure to government contracts and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in contract management software, legal databases, and entire Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and redlining skills.
  • Strong ability to work as part of cross-functional teams and influence business partners effectively.
  • Highly developed time management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines and handling multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple subcontractor relationships.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for candidates is $87,100/year in our lowest geographic market range to up to $108,900/year in our highest geographic market range. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 9% of annual salary.

Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey’s 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements. Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid time off for qualifying medical leave, and up to 12 weeks of combined paid parental and bonding leave. The foregoing benefits and paid time off, including an employee’s eligibility therefore, will be controlled by applicable plan documents and Sellers Dorsey policy.
