This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Accurately transcribe and document medical encounters and procedures as narrated by healthcare providers, including but not limited to patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, and treatment plans.
Navigate electronic health records (EHR) to record data effectively.
Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation.
Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Manage and organize medical documents in a timely manner.
Assist healthcare providers in locating and organizing laboratory reports, radiology studies, and other clinical documents.
Participate in departmental administrative tasks as required.
Provide administrative support for healthcare providers during patient care.
Ideally a former doctor or someone experienced in medical note-taking with a PHIPA-compliant setup
Proven experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role in the healthcare industry.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
Strong typing skills and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Excellent listening and documentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
High school diploma; a degree in a healthcare-related field is a plus.
Highly Regarded Skills and Experience:
Certification as a medical scribe.
Experience in a remote scribing capacity.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance regulations.
Ability to adapt to various medical specializations quickly and documentation styles.
