Job Scope:

The Social Media Marketing Assistant will play a key role in building and maintaining our online presence, connecting with our audience, and supporting our mission of fostering mental well-being through expert and empathetic online care. This role involves creating engaging and informative content, managing our social media platforms, interacting with our online community, and contributing to marketing initiatives that raise awareness and encourage individuals to seek support. The assistant will work closely with the marketing team and must uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and sensitivity related to mental health information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies that align with our mission and marketing objectives.
  • Create compelling and relevant content (text, images, videos) that educates, inspires, and encourages engagement across various social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Schedule and manage the posting of content using content calendars and social media management tools.
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, responding thoughtfully and professionally (under guidance and adhering to established protocols).
  • Engage with our online community, fostering a supportive and informative environment.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of social media advertising campaigns to reach a wider audience.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights to optimize content and strategies.
  • Stay informed about current social media trends, best practices, and platform updates relevant to our industry.
  • Ensure all social media activities are conducted ethically and with the utmost respect for privacy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on broader marketing initiatives and provide support as needed.

Requirements


  • Proven experience with at least 2 years managing social media accounts for a business or organization (APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS)
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their unique audiences and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create empathetic and informative content.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for visual content. Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva) and video editing skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.   
  • A genuine interest in mental health and a commitment to promoting well-being.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
