Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Assist with payroll and manage bills through Xero and Hubdoc.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and support senior bookkeepers with various tasks.

Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • 4 consecutive hours per day within 9am–5pm AEST

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero 
  • Process accounts payable and receivable 
  • Reconcile bank statements and transactions 
  • Assist with payroll and superannuation
  • Enter and manage bills via Xero and Hubdoc 
  • Pay bills online as directed 
  • Create/send invoices and enter customer details 
  • Manage the Accounts email inbox 
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and staff 
  • Support senior bookkeepers with ad hoc tasks. 


Requirements
  • Experience in bookkeeping or accounts support 
  • Proficient with Xero and Hubdoc 
  • Understanding of Australian accounting principles 
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation 
  • Excellent written communication skills 
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Suite, and Dropbox

Preferred Skills
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
  • Experience with Australian clients 
  • Familiarity with BAS, payroll, and superannuation processes
  • Remote/virtual assistant experience 
  • Quick learner and problem solver
