CRM Database Auditor (Contractor)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CRM Database Auditor to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our partner account information in Simpleview, the organization’s CRM (customer relationship management) platform.
The contractor will primarily focus on auditing and updating the company database to ensure data integrity of contacts and organization communication and tracking. This will be done by researching and contacting hospitality entities to review and update business and contact information and amenity offerings.
This job requires strong attention to detail, the ability to self-direct along with critical thinking, stakeholder communications and problem-solving skills. This is a remote role for 10-20 hours a week through the anticipated contract dates of mid-May - June 30, 2025 with the potential to extend.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing to prioritize audit efforts and focus on key sectors;
Conduct audits of partner account information in the CRM database:
Proactively reach out to hospitality businesses such as food and beverage businesses, event venues, lodging properties, transportation partners and attractions to gather updated information and ensure accuracy within company records;
Verify and update business contact details, including phone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses;
Validate business descriptions, amenities and offerings to ensure they align with current offerings;
Collect and catalog supporting documents such as venue floorplans and imagery
Classify when in-person site visits are necessary for Discover Durham staff to identify partner contacts and assess amenities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and rectify any data discrepancies or inconsistencies;
Maintain detailed and organized records of database audit activities, updates, and corrections.
Identify and update VIP contacts associated with partner accounts, ensuring accurate contact information, titles, and relevant notes are recorded in the CRM.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Proven experience in database management, preferably within a CRM environment;
Understanding of database architecture principles and best practices;
Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to data accuracy;
Highly organized, with strong time management skills;
Self-motivated and able to work independently;
Ability to intake, organize, clarify, and articulate requests as well as develop and manage timelines;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with external partners. This role will require cold calls to area businesses that must be completed during regular business hours with added flexibility for connecting with businesses that operate on different hours
Ability to conduct professional and informative outreach to update partner information;
Computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox and cloud-based internet technologies
Schedule flexibility to allow for connecting with businesses that operate outside of conventional weekday hours;
Must supply own computer and internet access
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the travel and tourism industry, specifically the food and beverage sector, event venues, lodging properties, and attractions;
Proficiency in using CRM systems, with experience using Simpleview or iDSS CRMs being a plus;
Pay:
$22 - $25/ hour depending on experience and knowledge of required and preferred qualifications.
