Job description

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Repairs & Maintenance Coordinator to support our development and repair operations, with a special focus on restaurant facilities and equipment. This role reports directly to the Director of Development, and involves managing project logistics, preventive maintenance tracking, vendor coordination, and effective team communication. A background in restaurant operations or equipment maintenance is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a detailed and organized preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for HVAC, hood cleaning, grease traps, fire suppression, refrigeration, backflow testing, ice machines, hot water tanks, and drain line jetting.
  • Utilize tools like Basecamp, Slack, email, and phone to coordinate daily communications.
  • Manage R&M tickets using platforms such as 86 Repairs—including ticket creation, updates, and full-cycle follow-up.
  • Source and coordinate with vendors when repairs fall outside the scope of 86 Repairs.
  • Track, schedule, and communicate timelines for renovation projects in collaboration with general contractors and vendors.
  • Provide timely updates to store-level staff and the operations team regarding renovation progress.
  • Manage equipment and small-wares ordering, delivery tracking, and scheduling for installations.
  • Deliver daily summaries of R&M tickets and vendor communications.
  • Facilitate prompt follow-ups with vendors, track shipments, and ensure timely installations.
  • Support multiple ongoing tasks, balancing priorities efficiently across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in restaurant operations or with restaurant equipment and facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with repair and maintenance (R&M) terminology and workflows.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially via phone.
  • Proficiency in Basecamp, Slack, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and administrative tasks simultaneously.

You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard. 

Salary : $800/month
