We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our growing product team at ecosio. This role combines deep technical expertise in API documentation with product knowledge to create clear, comprehensive knowledge docs for our B2B integration solutions. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining API reference documentation, tutorials, and integration guides on connect.ecosio.com. With you, we want to build the best-in-class API documentation platform for EDI & e-invoicing.

Part-time possible (min. 30hr/week). 

You'll connect with the role if you enjoy…
  • being the main contact person for all questions regarding the e-invoicing solutions of ecosio (of the countries you are assigned to as product owner). You act as the technical as well as organizational interface between our development, integration engineering team, marketing, sales, pre-sales and our customers and partners
  • Take ownership of connect.ecosio.com our knowledge hub for partners, customers & users
  • Create and maintain API specifications and reference documentation
  • Design and implement documentation-as-code workflows using tools like Git, YAML, and Markdown
  • Develop interactive API documentation with modern documentation tools
  • Write clear, technically accurate product guides, tutorials, and code samples
  • Collaborate with product, marketing and engineering teams to understand API design and implementation details
  • Establish documentation standards and style guides for API documentation
  • Implement automated documentation testing and validation processes
Qualifications

To connect with ecosio it is important to have…

  • a degree in informatics / business informatics / HTL diploma or comparable work experience
  • Experience in technical writing and documentation for APIs and products (2+ years) 
  • Proficiency with API tooling specification and related tools 
  • Strong knowledge of YAML, JSON, and Markdown 
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and documentation-as-code practices
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and web services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Native English
  • Experience with developer portals and API documentation platforms

And nice to have…

  • programming skills in JavaScript, Java or a similar language
  • Computer Science studies or technical background
  • Knowledge of B2B software, EDI concepts, or integration patterns 
  • Experience with API documentation
  • Understanding of CI/CD workflows and documentation automation
