Job Summary
Are you passionate about people and curious about what goes on behind the scenes of building a great team? We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Student to join our Talent Acquisition team and gain hands-on experience in recruitment and candidate experience. This position will be fully remote with the opportunity to join us at career events.
In this role, primary responsibilities include:
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process—from job postings, resume screening, phone interviews, interview coordination, conducting background checks and preparing offer letters.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in organizing career events and student outreach initiatives.
- Contribute ideas to improve the candidate experience and recruitment strategy.
Key Elements
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (HR, Business, Communications, or related field).
- Strong communication skills and a people-first mindset.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Able to manage many priorities at once.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Indeed, Microsoft Office, or other recruitment tools is an asset.

The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development. They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards. The functions are essential to providing a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness, to ensure ongoing functional innovation and capability improvement.
